Great News!

I am so happy to announce that HOPELESS will soon be available in stores!  Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, has purchased print rights for HOPELESS.  The electronic rights will remain as is. So that means we’ll have a beautifully crafted print copy sitting on bookstore shelves!  I’ll update everyone on the release date soon.

  1. As an Aussie, you have no idea how much this excites me! I’m ordering one as soon as it’s listed. Congrats! They were monkeys for losing out on all this profit to begin with.

  5. What took them so long? I am shocked that they didn’t grab it before it was published online. Congratulations! One of my fave books ever!!! I can’t wait to purchase it as a paperback too.

  6. Colleen, congrats on the print books. Also Just finished Slammed … it made me laugh/cry/anger/ect/ect …. very beautifully wriiten. it only took me like six hours, I guess I should listen to my wife on her recommendations from now on..

  7. Congrats!! That is so awesome! Saw the note on Hugh Howey’s blog, but I had already noticed you up there at the top and was wondering how long it would take for someone to scoop you up. But to hear the print-only deal… is even better! Yay for you and Hugh for leading the way!!

  8. Congrats Colleen! You must be ecstatic! Is the cover of Hopeless going to be the same cover that you have right now, or a different cover? By any chance are you going to be coming to Southern California for a book signing? My book bestie Ria got to see you, Tammara Webber, and Jamie McGuire in Texas and I’m really jealous! LOL She’s also interviewing on ABC with you!I had her get me a signed copy of all of your books and she’s shipping them to California for me plus one for a giveaway on our book blog! I just want you to know that you are my absolute FAVORITE author, and are on my auto book buying list :)

  11. I just read Hopeless and really enjoyed it. Sometimes it’s hit or miss with self-pubbed indie type books but yours was definitely a hit! It’s an inspiration to all of us out here who want to publish something ourselves and are unsure. And you prove that it can be done and done successfully. You don’t need a major publishing deal to make your dreams come true! Thanks for being an inspiration! I plan to self-pub my own novel shortly and reading yours recently helped me know I’m moving in the right direction. Thanks!

  12. I absolutely loved this book! Downloaded it on my kindle and could not put it down. Colleen now has a new fan :-) keep up the good work!

  13. Congrats on breaking the ground for all who follow you! I read electronically only when in dire need of reading material– I love the feel of paper pages between my fingers. You are an inspiration to not only your readers, but struggling writers as well.
