My sweet for the day/week/month/year/lifetime? Yeah. Lifetime.

I have had one heck of a  year and  I couldn’t be happier with the decisions I’ve made throughout my journey.  For an Indie author to see success, it takes more than just a good story.  It takes readers.  It takes word-of-mouth.  It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort.

Tomorrow will be 7 months to the day that I self-published SLAMMED, and I am ecstatic to announce that I’ve signed a deal with Atria, a division of Simon & Schuster.

Did you hear that?  Let me say it again.  SIMON & SCHUSTER!

From what I know at this point, both SLAMMED and POINT OF RETREAT will be on bookstore shelves this Fall.  So, to express my gratitude and appreciation for every butterflying one of you that have helped me reach this point, it’s time for another giveaway.  How about some more signed books???

I will be back from vacation August 6th and will post winners then.  That means you have 7 1/2 days to leave a comment on this post to be entered into the drawing.  This time, tell me in the comment section what your favorite book of all time is.  I need a few more great beach reads and I know a few readers who have been looking for some more recommendations.

In the meantime, check out this article in Publishers Weekly announcing the news!

    • Congratulations on the book deal, and with S&S, no less ! I’m so glad I found your books one day idly browsing ebooks on Amazon.I was really enchanted with the stories and characters. I read Slammed, then found Point of Retreat, and they are so good I can read them over and over until the third one comes out.

This year’s favorite books are Twilight Saga by stephanie Meyer, Edmund Persuader by Stuart Shotwell, Dead Until Dark, a Sookie Stackhouse Louisiana Vampire story by Charlaine Harris, and Diana Gabaldon’s Scottish Prisoner. All time favorite author and book is Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! from the Discworld series.

You go, girl! You’re a multi-tasking wonder! Hope S&S put your books out on Audible Books too!

    • Congratulations on the book deal. I can’t wait to read more of your writing. It’s hard to say what my favorite book of all time would be but Slammed and Point of Retreat were my favorite reads this summer, and I read 13 books over the summer. I read both of them twice, and I even got my 18 year old daughter to read both of them. Other books that I love are anything by Lauren Oliver, the Divergent series, Easy, and Ender’s Game.

  2. Congratulations!!! My favorite book of all time is Slammed so that won’t help with your beach reads!!

    • I loved reading slammed and point of retreat. Brought it home. My mom has the same kind of cancer that Julia had and it really made it real and emotional for me. Cried and laughed through both of them. Loved em! Great job. For my favorote read its difficult to say, Gabriel’s rapture and Gabriel’s inferno was a really good series, bared to you by Sylvia day is a good one and cant wait tip October for her second book in th series

  3. Colleen I am SO EXCITED for you. Seriously, best book of the year for me. You rock!

Beach reads… Hmm… Well, I heard Crash was awesome! I haven’t read it yet! I would try something fun by Jennifer Weiner or Sarah Dessen maybe.

  4. Super, super and heartfelt congratulations! You have earned it and you deserve it!!!!!

Favorite book of ALL TIME!?! Yikes…impossible to pick just one. I read all types of genres, but here are the ones that come to mind going back to when I was a teenager:
    * Outsiders by SE Hinton
    * Boys Life by Robert R. McCammon
    * Twilight series
    * 50 Shades series
    * Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
    * Slammed and Point of Retreat (duh)
    * Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (non-fiction)
    * Easy, Beautiful Disaster, Thoughtless & Effortless (thanks for all the suggestions!)

I’m sure there are sooooo many more, but that’s off the top of my head.
Again, CONGRATS on your sweet. <3

    • I seriously could have just written this! All those on your list are favorites of mine as well! We must have the same taste in books! :)

      • Excellent! We must be kindred spirits! :)

I forgot to mention the Hunger Games series…I loved that too.

    • I really liked “The Help.” Some of my friends said they had trouble finishing it, but I loved every page . . . though I did think Skeeter would end up with her guy, but that’s o.k. The author could write a sequel now.
Authors I like are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Tony Morrison and Joyce carol Oates.

  5. Congratulations!!! I tell anyone who will listen how great your books are. Enjoy the rest of you vacation.

  6. My favorite book is love comes softly by janette oke. I am super excited to see your book on shelves!!!!!

  8. My favorite book ever is Order of the Phoenix but that’s hardly a beach read. For a good beach read, I recommend something romantic like Anna and the french kiss. That was good.

  9. Congratulations! I loved your books and all your recommendations. Since your recs have become my summer reads and recs, I’m going old school and recommending a book I read ages ago-Sophie Kinsella’s Can You Keep a Secret?. It’s such a great, funny, laugh out loud story! One of my other favorites, an oldie but goodie, is Jane Green’s Mr. Maybe and her other novel, Jemmia J!

  10. On The Island (Tracey Garvis Graves)
    Thoughtless & Effortless (S.C. Stephens)
No Turning Back & Turn To Me (Tiffany A. Snow)
    as well as your books:)

  12. I can’t wait to buy “Slammed” for all my friends for Christmas! Congratulations!!!!

I just finished “Shadow of Night” by Deborah Harkness (the 2nd in the All Souls Trilogy) and it was fantastic. “A Discovery of Witches” is book one.

Also, I loved the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. I consider it my “comfort” read…great for the beach! First book is called “Succubus Blues.”

    Happy reading!!

  13. congrats!!!! that is so exciting. I am gonna have to say slammed and POR are both my favorite books so far. Its gonna be hard to top them.

  14. Congrats!! Ok, how to choose only one???? Beautiful Disaster, if I must. But as I’ve heard said many times, impossible to pick a fav book, same as it is impossible for me to pick a fav kid. Enjoy your vacation!

  15. Congratulations on the amazing news! You’ve worked hard, written two beautiful novels and deserve all the success coming your way! Diego Boneta better start to clear his schedule for the movie.

Right now I’m finishing up Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. Totally loving it & I have 100 pages to finish. I’m not sure what I’m going to do once I’m done since book 3 won’t be released until sometime next year.

My favorite book is Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables. Lately on my auto buy list is Sherry Thomas who writes historical romance. Not Quite a Husband, His at Night & Ravishing the Heiress are my favorite of hers.

    Enjoy your vacation!

  16. CONGRATULATIONS! That is sooo butterflying exciting and you deserve it! Now for books, I have a ton of favorites and they are my favorites for different reasons. I think alot of my reading reflects on what is currently going on in my life.. When things are serious, I turn to fantasy, when I am unhappy, I turn to love stories, so on an so forth. With that being said, I do have a few beach reads recommendations for you…Haunted on Bourban Street by Deanna Chase, What I didn’t say by Keary Taylor, Bared to you by Syliva Day, Gossamer by S.L. Naeole
How to Kill A Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo, The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst, Easy by Tammara Webber, Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn … I could go on and on and on..Once again, Congratulations and have a wonderful vacation!

  17. What good news! My favorite book is North and South by Elizabeth Haskell. The BBC movie is great too.

  20. Congratulations!!!! I cannot wait to own hard copies of your books. You are amazing and I wish you nothing but the best! My all time favorite book is super old school and called Don’t Die My Love. Not sure of the author… I still have my first edition copy of it, which is torn to shreds because I’ve read it so much since my freshman year in high school. Of course I love your books and they are next on my favorites. I also enjoyed the Experiment in Terro series and The Opportunist. Have a fun, relaxing vacation!!!

  21. CONGRATS!!! SO happy for you!!

Pretty sure you’ve read all my favorites, but I think you just read HTKARS, so might not have had time to get to her God-shaped Hole – it is every bit as good at HTKARS, but a darker, sadder feel to it…get it now!! :-)

  22. Oh my!!! All of my favorite reads are getting deals!!! So happy for you.

A Widow For One Year by John Irving has been a favorite forever. Ruth is Butterflying bad ass.

  23. Wow, congratulations! So deserved. 7 months into this years, I have read over 250 books, can’t imagine how many in all the years. So picking a favorite would be really difficult. Of course, I loved your books. I tell everyone about them. I also just received my “Butterfly You” t shirt!! Besides all the Kristen Ashley books, I would suggest anything by R.L. Mathewson. Especially her Neighbors from Hell series, funny and hot!! Have a great vacation!

  24. I am just over the moon happy for you! You deserve it.
My favorite book(s) of all-time are Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Love Story by Erich Segal? I guess I have always been a hopeful romantic.
Hope you have a fun, rejuvenating vacation!

  25. So proud of you!!! CONGRATS!!
Not necessarily my favorite of all time, but that’s not something I’m prepared to answer. But a great beach/summer read is “Taking Back His Widow” by Kerri Williams!

  26. Congratulations! My favorite book is Point of Retreat, but I would also recommend Easy by Tamara Webber, Light Years by Tammar Stein, and The Innocent by David Baldacci. All great beach reads!

  27. Congratulations… that is wonderful news and so well deserved!!!!

I really just started reading earlier this year… I was never much of a reader before but now I am addicted and its books like yours that have made me so addicted to reading.

Currently I have two favorites and one is Slammed and the other is Sempre(Forever) by J.M. Darhower… when people as for a recommendation these are always the first books to come to mind!

  28. First Congrats! I’m so proud for you. Second, I dont usually read anything but Slammed got my attention from the start and I could not put it down. I love Point of Retreat as well but there is nothing like that first love. I think you are so talented and am so thankful that you chose to share your talent with us. You ROCK! And I dont need the book, I have bought several for me and friends. Cant wait for your next one.

  29. Wow!!! I am so excited to see so many of my Indie authors making it in the “big times”!!! It will be such an amazing view to walk into book stores everywhere and see your books on their shelves :)

  30. Congrats!!! I cannot wait to see what your future holds! I love Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books! Also, Beautiful Disaster, Slammed, POR, Love Unscripted and Flat Out Love are all books that I can and have read repeatedly!!! I also look at your books and recommendations on your blog and on goodreads.com SO THANKS!!!

  31. CONGRATS!!! it’s so nice to see talented people succeed.
Fav book of all time-Well, I’m a relative novice to reading fiction. I’ve never been a big reader & when I did read it was usually nonfiction. In April the new condo community we moved into started a book club. I went really to meet some of my new neighbors , not really for the love of reading. Well, turns out I LOVE to read & read fiction! Since the end of April I’ve read about 30 boooks. My absolute favs so far, in no particular order:
    50 Shades
    Slammed & PoR
    Breath series by Rebecca Donovan
    The Opportunist
    Marriage Bargin
    Marriage List
    Love List
I know you only asked for 1…:)
Thank you for helping open up a new world of reading & especially indie authors for me.

  32. Wow! Congrats! Can’t wait to see your books on the shelves! You definitely deserve it. :]

My favorite book of all time… that’s so hard! It’s like asking a mother to choose her favorite child! My all time favorite[subject to change] would have to be Unwind by Neal Shusterman.

  33. Congrats! my all time favorite book is thoughtless from s c stephens. and then slammed. I was just wondering if that means your still coming to chicago in september. Just and FYI our books made me start writing again. i am so happy for oyu.

  34. I have to say that my 2 favorite books right now are Slammed and Beautiful Disaster. I keep rereading them! Besides those, one of my favorite books, well series, is the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. There are 5 books in total and each one is just as amazing as the first! You won’t be disappointed!!!

  35. Wow, this is such amazing news! Congratulations Colleen! I can’t wait to purchase your books and add them to my collection on my shelf!

Trying to pick your favorite book of all time is a little difficult. I’ve read a ton of books and have many favorites but for right now I’m going to say Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. Ever since I discovered Ellen Hopkins Crank series I’ve been in love with her writing. Every single one of her books that I’ve read are all equally amazing but I favor Impulse the most. Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. It has a little bit of everything mixed in and it’s very interesting. The end actually surprised me which is always a plus, I don’t really like books that I can figure out what’s going to happen before it does. I actually just found out that her book Perfect is a follow up so I’m going to read that very soon!

I’m not sure if you’ve read it or not but Beautiful Disaster is an amazing book also, I just finished reading that one about a month or so ago and it left me speechless! Jamie’s Providence series is amazing too! That series would be a great beach read. I hope you enjoy your vacation!

  36. Congrats Colleen! So freaking fantastic! My fave book is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon followed closely by On the Jelicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. :0)

  37. Congrats colleen! You really are bemazing!!! Fav books? All time? Twilight series, 50 shades series, slammed, and what dreams may come (richard matheson)! Have a great time (and read) at the beach!

  38. Congratulations! Besides your books, a couple of my recent favorites are Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth.

  39. My favorite author was Michael Palmer until YOU! He’s a good easy read but none of his books have ever brought me in the way yours have! I am craving more!

I have always asked my kids at the dinner table what the best part of their day was but tonight I asked them “suck or sweet” instead. They looked at me with shock and said I couldn’t say that word. So I turned and said “butterfly it!”

You have really integrated my life! My very very non reading husband is now even reading Slammed.. Thank you! :)

    • I just finished Running Barefoot by Amy Harmon this afternoon. It was suggested by somebody on one of your recents posts, fantastic read! So happy for you and your butterflying (my auto correct on my phone didn’t like that) success!!!

  40. Wow…favorite book? That’s nearly impossible because there are SO MANY out there!!!! Love love love both Slammed and Point of Retreat of course and dying for the next one to come out!!!
There’s also The Vampire Academy series, Kate Daniels series, Night Huntress series, about anything by Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, Lisa Gardner, Tess Gerritsen…I could probably go on for days :-)

  41. Congratulations! Slammed and Point of Retreat were awesome books for me and are favorites right now! Another Summer by Georgia Bockoven is a really good read as well!

  42. Congrats!!! So happy for you!!!

I have many favorite books, it’s hard to pick only one all time fav!

A few that jump to mind:

Slammed and Point of Retreat (of course)
    The Princess Bride
    Island of the Blue Dolphins
Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake
    A Discovery of Witches
    Pride and Prejudice
The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker
    The Fever Series
    The Guildhunter Series
    The Kate Daniels Series

Just to name a few! ;)

  43. Oh my goodness!!! I am so, so , so excited and thrilled for you!!! WOW!!!!!! My all-time favorite book is The Opportunist..but I’m pretty certain you’ve already read that!!! :)

  44. Yay!!! So excited for you & all these great authors being discovered by mainstream. Love love love it!!!!

  45. Up until 3 years ago I hated to read books of any sort. One day I picked up a Sarah Dessen book and fell in love with teen/young adult romance. I have read so many books since then. Reading is my new favorite addiction! :-D
Here is a list of my favorite authors.
Sarah Dessen, Nicholas Sparks, Emily Griffin, Jenny Han, Lauren Barnholdt, Susan Colasasnti, Beth Harbison, Jamie McGuire, S.C. Stephens, JL Paul, Abbi Glines, Tammara Webber, Angie Stanton, Steph Campbell, Sarah Bates, JC Isabella, Tess Oliver, and of course you.
I have read so many good books from all of the authors mentioned above. Take your pick and you will (hopefully) find something you like.

  46. I have to say Colleen my favorite book of all time is Slammed. I’m saying this as someone who lost her mother suddenly to a heart attack. Something about this book brought me the closure I’ve been waiting for for three years. I had a huge connection to lake and her mothers parting words of wisdom made me feel like I found this book for a reason. Like my mother wanted me too. I say this because I was not a fiction reader. I’ve always liked reality and this gave me a place to escape from that and finally feel what I’ve needed to for the last three years. I purchased a copy and after reading it gave it to my youngest sister who had the horror of finding my mother. I would love to have a copy of my own again as she refuses to return it. Thank you Colleen for these wonderful books, they have really helped me heal!

    • Having lost my mother at an early age, I too felt very connected to Lake. I wrote a lot as therapy, so Slammed was a book that was very cathartic for me to read. Having books as therapy is very helpful! I would also recommend Motherless Daughters (and Motherless Mothers if you also have children) by Hope Edelman because they were two of the most helpful books I’ve ever read dealing with the loss of my mother. All the best to you!!

      • You are so welcome! It is easy to feel like we are alone, and the truth is that we are never alone. And by the way, my heart goes out extra to your sister as I too found my mom. It is a horror that I wouldn’t wish on anyone and is something that can never be forgotten and unseen…

  47. That is butterflying fantastic news!!! You deserve this and soo much more. I’ll be waiting for the movie next! :D
Ok, favorite book of all time. I don’t think I have just one and it changes often. Right now my favorite book has to be Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and then of course I LOVE everything by Marie Force, her McCarthy series are perfect beach reads!

  48. Congrats !!:) my favorite book series is the hunger games followed by divergent and of course slammed ;)

  49. My fav book of all time is Gertrude mcfuzz by dr.seuss. I know it’s a kids book but reading it to my daughter the words are more than just words. I’ve learned lessons from that book! I am who I am and that’s exactally who I want to be :)

  50. WOW! That is great NEWS. I read the Slammed & Point of Retreat in three days. My daughther just finished reading them and my sister is also reading Slammed right now. My favorite book of all time has to be The Jewels of Tessa Kent by Judith Krantz. I was so impressed with your books. I look forward to your next book, so in the future I may have a new favorite book.

  51. Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia is an excellent read! It isn’t my all time favorite but it definitely made my 2012 summer reading list.

Congratulations on your great achievement in publishing!! I have read both of your books a few times now and I love them more with each read.

  52. Congratulations Colleen! This is definitely a sweet of a lifetime event!! My favorite book of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird – I could read the book over and over. And while it’s not often that I love a movie as much as the book it’s based on, the movie version of TKAM is fabulous as well!!

  53. Congratulations! My favorite books (besides yours) are Thoughtless & Effortless (S.C. Stephens). I can’t wait to read more of your books!

  54. My favorite book of all time is This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, with Slammed as a close second, but something tells me you have already read that one. This book absolutely speaks to me every time I open its pages. Independent girl has life hit her with someone who she can depend on but she keeps her distance…it’s great.

  55. First of all, congratulations!! That’s a big deal, which you totally deserve. I’m so happy for you!! :D

Second of all, on the opposite end of the spectrum, I think you’re just plain cruel for trying to make me choose my favorite book of all time. I can’t do that, not even kind of. BUT. I definitely think that Easy by Tammara Webber is incredible. The 50 Shades trilogy, for sure. In relation to that, Bared to You by Sylvia Day is just… wow. Blew me away. (Loved it more than 50 Shades, surprisingly.) The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg also blew me away. Honestly, the list could go on forever. It’s impossible to even choose a handful. (And I can assure you that I am leaving some very important books out on this very short list.)

Again, congratulations, and thanks for the giveaway opportunity! (:

    • Oh, wow! I have to mention Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. That book stayed with me for weeks after I finished it. It’s truly one incredible book.

  56. Congrats to you!!! I love Slammed and Point of Retreat! As for beach reads, 50 shades series, any James Patterson, Bared to You by Sylvia Day (very much like 50 shades), and A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. Oh and The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly (there are two others in this series and you will live the characters!)
    Have a great vacation!!

  57. Congratulations! You deserve it! I have so many favorites including yours…
Anything by: Denise Grover Swank, Tammara Webber, A.L. Jackson, Lindsay Delagair (has a great Untouchable Series), S. C. Stephens, Tina Reber, Jamie McGuire and the heart wrenching Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan. Loved everyone of their books and anxiously awaiting new releases!

    Congrats again!!!

  58. Yay Colleen!!! Congrats on the book deal. But i’m not surprised, you are so talented.
As far as favorite of all time, that it’s tougher. My hubby and I once played a version off the newlywed game at a church function. We had been married the 2nd longest (this was a young group) and we lost, horribly!! They asked all these “favorite…” questions. I’m just not a “favorites” kind of gal. I love lots of things.
I’m reading thoughtless right now, 400 pgs in and loving it.
    Have a great vaca!!

  59. Congratulations, Colleen! I’m absolutely thrilled for you. 7 months! It’s just crazy! But in the best way. Your books are so great and I’m excited to read whatever you write next.
Some absolute favorites are: How to Kill A Rockstar by Tiffanie DeBartalo, The Bronze Horseman series by Paullina Simons, and last but not least, The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher… ;) Oh…and anything by Shel Silverstein!
I also love books about writing and these are exceptional ones: Walking on Water by Madeleine L’Engle, On Writing by Stephen King and Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott

  60. Oh, this is a VERY difficult question for me! I sound like such a suck up saying Slammed but I truly do GUSH over your book! Oh The Island is also one I adore :) You are back August 6th? Well, that’s my birthday so a giveaway win would be fantabulous! Not that I’m hinting…okay, maybe a little….*wink*!!

  61. You truly deserve all the success in the world. I have recommended these two books to whoever will listen. Everyone that took my recommendation absolutely loved them. You should be very proud. Congratulations.

  62. That is so awesome!! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Aside from the obvious faves of Slammed and Point of Retreat, my other faves are the Notebook (the only other book before Point of Retreat that made me cry) and Bridges of Madison County. Anything by Kristen Ashley is also on my favorites list.

I’m reading Crash now (based on the great
Recs from some of your fans!) and liking it so far!

  63. Congratulations Colleen! I am so glad to have found your books! I’m happy for you and have been recommending them to all my friends!

  64. Congrats!!! So well deserved!!! It’s almost impossible to pick a favorite book! How about favorite books of the year? Of course, Slammed and POR top the list! Then I would have to say Sempre and On The Island would also be up there for me. Both really good books!

  65. That’s awesome, congratulations! favourite books…… well I have to say the fifty shades trilogy because it got me reading again, Slammed and POR of course! Thoughtless/Effortless and the Redhead series. Enjoy your vacation!

  66. Woweeee! That is awesome stuff, I’m really happy for you :D You deserve all the success in the world! Slammed and Point of Retreat are among my favourite books of all time, I felt so many emotions reading them. One minute I was happy, the next I felt like my heart was being ripped out.

    So I don’t really think there is a single book I love most, there are several. So here is the list;

    Catcher In The Rye
    Nineteen Eighty Four
    Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
    Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
    Anything by Abbi Glines
    Harry Potter!
    Crash by Nicole Williams
Reason To Breathe & Barely Breathing by Rebecca Donovan
    Anything by Jennifer L. Armentrout
    The Hunger Games series
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Anything by Stephen King if you’re into that sort of thing.

I could go on. I love reading so I get through lots of books :)

Also a big thank you to you for all your amazing recommendations :) Read some fab books thanks to you!

Again, congratulations :) You deserve this so much!!
    Big hugs x

    • Also to add to this, you mentioned Diego Boneta a while back in a post about who would play Will in the movie version of Slammed. I’m a huge fan of his so we are definitely on the same page here. Oh and if this ever happened and you got him to play Will I am very available to be on set to help out ;)

  67. So beyond excited for you! I’ve been recommending your books to anyone and everyone who will listen (and those who don’t too!) can’t wait to physically put them on my bookshelf!

  68. Congratulations for landing a publishing deal. I only hope they appreciate the truly amazing talent they are getting with you!

Should be o. My favorites list too. I loathe the editing capacity of my kindle!

  69. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! :) You definitely deserve it Colleen. My friend just started getting into reading and your books were the first books I recommended to her. (honestly I’m not just trying to kiss ass here) I have lots (no tons) of favorite books but just to pick one for this I’ll say “the Sweet Gum Tree” by Katherine Allred. Thank you Colleen. Be safe @ the beach & have fun!

  70. Congrats to you Colleen!!!! One of my most favorite books is Suzanne’s Diary For Nicholas by James Patterson. He writes an amazing love story in this one.

  71. I mean this truly, my favorite books were Slammed and POR, I am promoting these books to everybody I know. I have never, ever felt so emotionally attached to a book before! But some good books for you to read, Love: Unscripted by Tina Reber is awesome. Anything by Christie Craig. The Bonnie trilogy by Iris Johanson is great. I really enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey, not the best writing, but very hot!

  72. Congratulations!

I can’t pick one or even 100 favorite book/s. I’ve read many thousands in my life; different books appeal to me at different times. I started out with mystery (still a favorite when I’m in the mood for it), then post-apocalyptic (probably my current favorite along with the next one), now p-a along with romantic comedy/erotica/YA. Oh yeah, paranormal, too :)

Okay, if I HAD to pick one right now, it would have to be Tina Reber’s Love Unscripted. I read it first two years ago and it’s still in my head. So, that. And the Twilight series. And many, many others.

  73. Ok, so I read A LOT! It’s impossible to narrow down to just a single fave book of all time so I’ve tried to provide a variety of my faves! Hope some may become your faves as well!

YA’s: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
The Fault in our Stars by John Green
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman

Adult: Iron Duke by Meljean Brook
    Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken
    Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
    Broken by Megan Hart
Naked In Death by J.D. Robb (1st in Nora Roberts In Death series which is completely made of awesome!)

  74. Congratulations so much!! You deserve it!

My favorites were all ones you posted about. From a non-romance camp I loved The Gutl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and Tina Fey’s Bossypants.

  75. Congratulations Colleen!! I loved Slammed and Point of Retreat and Can not wait for the next one! I have read more this summer than ever before.. always loved to read but never really ventured out to authors that I had not read before.. I am so glad I did.. 80. So many books, so little time! I love to read more than anything, other than my family of course (well, most days anyway)! And even though I LOVE my Kindle Fire, it is now my biggest weakness since I can download so many books so quickly.

Congratulations to one outstanding author, Colleen Hoover, for getting a big-name publisher to get your fantastic writing on bookshelves this fall. I am so proud of you!

On to my fav books-no way I could pick just one!

  81. Congratulations Colleen! I loved Slammed and Point of retreat! I can’t wait for more now :-) my favourite books of all time have to be some of the classics (pride and prejudice, Emma, etc) also any of Nicholas Sparks’ books (‘The lucky one’ is probably my favourite of his) and obviously Slammed and POR! :-) have a lovely vacation! X

  82. My favorite book of all time? I have a lot of favorite books but the one I LOVE to read over and over again is part of a trilogy. It’s the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy and book one is Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater!!!!

  83. WOW! That’s so amazing. I’m truly so happy for you. My favorite book of all time? It’s hard to pick just one. I’m old…I’ve read so many great books! Therefore, I will have to pick a recent read. So besides “Slammed” & “Point of Retreat” (of course), my favorite beach reads this summer were “The Unidentified Redhead” & “The Redhead Revealed” by Alice Clayton because these books were light, fun, laugh-out-loud, sexy reads. And I have red hair, so I’m more than partial to redheads. And I love Rob (which is who I believe Jack is so obviously based on) so you can picture his gorgeous face & hear his beautiful accent while reading along. Okay, enough said. Enjoy your vacation!

  84. Congratulations on your well deserved success!!!!
As for my favourite book of all time – there is no way I could possibly narrow it down to just one book! So my favourites are:

My favorite books of all time are probably A Prayer for Owen Meaney by John Irving and Bag of Bones by Stephen King. Not sure if they would qualify as beach reads but I’ve read them over and over so many times :)

  99. Congrats! Of Course I loved your books and can’t wait for the next. I can’t choose just one book but some suggestions are:

Marie Force – Treading Water or The McCarthy Series

    xo

  103. Congrats and it is well deserved. I’m sure when I list my books they have all been listed before…but I won’t be listing yours because if they weren’t 2 of my favorites I wouldn’t be here on your website.

    Thoughtless & Effortless
The neighbor from hell prefection book 2
    50 Shades series
    Divergent and Insurgent
    Franny & Zooey

  104. Amazing news!! Slammed series is by far one of the best, I read both books in a day and a half. Outside of that series it’s a tough call between beautiful disaster, thoughtless, or fifty shades.

  105. Congratulations, Colleen. That is terrific news.

I’m all over the place when it comes to reading, but one of my long-time favorites is a two book series by Stephen R. Donaldson:
    –The Mirror of Her Dreams
    –A Man Rides Through

Recent page-turners (aside from SLAMMED and Point of Retreat) include:
    –Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
–Gemma James / Duncan Kincaid seires by Deborah Crombie

  106. I love the book Marjorie Morningstar… A little bit long, but, like many of these books I’ve been reading recently thanks to you and your suggestions, I wasn’t able to put it down!
    Enjoy your vacation and congratulations!!

  107. Congratulations, very well deserved, loved, loved, loved both books, recommended them to many of my friends & family. Love Unscripted by Tina Reber is a great read.

  108. Congratulation! What wonderful news! My favorite book of all time is “To Kill a Mockingbird”. I also loved “The Book Thief” and “Unbroken” but those are not really “beach” reads. :-)

I have read a ton of great books already this year, and besides Slammed and PoR, two books that I LOVE LOVE LOVE are:

Bear, Otter and the Kid and
Who We Are by TJ Klune.

  109. I don’t think I could give you a favorite book, I just love to many! Favorite authors ( in no particular order): Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Elizabeth Hoyt, Kristan Higgins, Karen Marie Moning, Jill Shalvis, Sarah McLean, Nora Roberts, Elizabeth Reyes, Abbi Glines, Elizabeth Reinhart, Jamie McGuire, Tamara Webber, Lori Foster, Lori Wilde, Kate Noble, Sabrina Jeffries, Jennifer Cuise…….

  110. Congrats!!!!! I absolutely LOVE Slammed & Point of Retreat…have been recommending them to all my friends. Also enjoyed The McCarthy’s of Gansett Island series by Marie Force and The Sullivan’s series by Bella Andrea. Anything with a series :)

  111. Most importantly Congratulations!

I am an avid reader. I read about 200 books a year (crazy I know!).. I love reading so butterflying much that I have thought about starting my own book review blog. Let me add some new books that I haven’t seen mentioned. Of course your books are at the top of my list. One of my recent favorites was also Easy.

Jayde Scott- Acient Legends series- Supernatural and funny as hell

Julie Kagawa- Iron Fey Series- Supernatural and just a wonderful adventure of love

Kresley Cole- Immortal after dark series- Hot men, hot sex, passion, demons,
werewolfs, bad as women…Kresley Cole just rocks!

Lizzy Ford- Wonderful Indie Writer that is doing some great things. She calls her books Paranormal Sweet Romance. She doesn’t do heavy sex. Her stories have great romance and are very creative. My all time favorite is Kiera’s Moon. All her books are great though. You must check her out if you like these types of stories.

Nicky Charles-If you love werewolfs, hot men and hot sex you can’t miss reading her three self published novels The Mating, The Keeping & The Finding

TC Southwell- The Queen’s Blade Series- What a great story, It has Romance but it’s really about the adventure and the trials and tribulations of the characters. It’s a fantastically written story.

Richelle Mead- Vampire Academy & her new Bloodlines series is great

Marie Lu- Legend- Dystopian Society and just a wonderful book

Sylvain Reynard- Gabriels Inferno- A la Fifty Shades but a much better written book

Well I can go on for ever!

  112. Congrats! I’m so happy for you! You’re a great author and I can’t wait to see more from you

You know it’s hard to pick just one favorite so here’s a few I read recently that I loved
    Breathe series by Rebecca Donovan
Bared to you by Sylvia Day
    Thoughtless series by S.C Stephens
    Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
Point of Retreat (def a fav) thank you ;-)

  113. OMG,,, so excited for you news! I just finished both Slammed and POR, which, btw is becoming one of my all time favs! Favorite book? That is so hard. It’s between Twilight and The Hunger Games!

  114. So butterflying excited and hap-hap-happy for you girly!!! You deserve this…it’s only the beginning!!! WAY too many faves but a couple of reads would be…Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia and A Scottish Ferry Tale and Scotland By Starlight: The sequel to A Scottish Ferry Tale by Nancy Volkers…both made me laugh and cry and will always go back to them over and over again

  115. I must admit, I haven’t read much in my lifetime. It’s been my goal for a while now to read more, and I must say I have most definitely been doing so this last year or so. Picking a favorite book though has been really hard..
I’m going to go with “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein. It’s one of the only books out there I’ve wanted to read over and over again. It made me cry (a few times even), laugh and smile. It’s a heartwarming story, whether or not you are an animal lover. I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.

  116. Wow!! Congrats!! Very much deserved!!

I have many favorite books but one of my all time top three books is The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

  117. unfortunately Slammed and Point of Retreat are on the top of my list! Can’t also forget Thoughtless, Effortless and also the Redhead Series!

  118. Wow~Congrats!! That must be major for you and your family, and lead you to even more great success! But, all your hard work, YOU BUTTERFLYING DESERVE IT!!!! you are one hell of a talented gal, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you and what your future books will be.
I have been on a ya kick, and to say what my fave book is, I honestly am not sure, but I think I have gotten some new fave authors, You (duh), Love Tammara Webber, Abbi Glines, Liz Reindhardt, Cassandra Clare, Kristan Higgins (cracks me up reading to where i look like a damn fool, and the hubby gives me the look. you know, the look that i am freakin crazy~yup!), Linda Lael Miller (she writes me some sexy a$$ cowboys), Lisa Kleypas, to name a few, there are way more, but that is all you get from me.

I hope you had a great vacation!! And I would love to win a copy of your book, it would make a sweet 33rd birthday present. (August 1st)

  119. Congrats! Looks like I will be going to the store in the fall to buy both! As for my all time favorite books I have a few :)

  120. Congratulations! Oh my god you soooo earned this! Im so happy for you!

Well, ever since i discovered you, its been an easy choice to pick your books as a favorite. But before your time i was extremely hooked on the Tiger’s Curse series. I freakin love it! I even won an ARC for the next installment that comes out in September! Its just meant to be i guess lol. Happy reading

    • Aiyah! Messed up my comment :(

As i was sayin: happy reading at the beach Colleen! You deserve some chillaxing time

  121. Congrats!!! My two favorite authors (Colleen and Jamie McGuire) getting picked up by the same publisher!!! Awesome news!! Favorite books…….of course Slammed/POR, Beautiful Disaster, Easy, Crash, Playing for Keeps and the Classic, Where the Red Fern Grows!! Congrats again!!

  122. I have a few favourite books, but my very first favourite book, which got me addicted to reading is The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons! It’s butterflying awesome! Have you read it?

    • I see others are putting more and mine are all pretty much the same! I also wanted to add, any thoughts on maybe making a movie as well, how awesome would that be! I would love to see Slammed and POR as movies ;)

  123. Fan-freaking-tastic! I could not be happier for you! You are a beautiful storyteller and this is well deserved! Bravo! I love to read/write. In the past year I have read some of the best stories ever. Well , you have already met Kellan, Travis and Will. Have you met Evan? The breathing series by Rebecca Donovan. Fantastic story. Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner was also great. On The Island by Tracey Garvis- Graves was a good read too. The Art of Racing on the Rain (if you’re a dog person), Flat Out Love by Jessica Park. Also a fan of the talented author marissa de Los Santos. And a little shout out to all the awesome posts here… thanks for all the recommendations! :-)

  124. Congratulations!!! How perfect that you are going on vacation so that you can take the time to soak up all of your successes. Your books are phenomenal. And it is clear from following your posts that there is no one more deserving than you. So happy for you!!!

As for my favorite book, I don’t think I could put the word “favorite” on any book. I have read so many awesome books lately that I couldn’t say any were my favorite. Two that I didn’t see as I read over most of the other posts was “Take This Regret” and “Pulled” by AL Jackson. They were both very emotional, great reads. AL Jackson’s slogan on her website is “tragic beginnings, fairy tale endings.” This perfectly describes both books.

  125. Congrats!
I love …the Significance series by Shelly Crane
    Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout
Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines

  126. Congrats!!! Reading has become a new- found hobby for me this summer, but out of the 15+ books I’ve read this summer Slammed and POR were by far my favorite!!! It will be very hard to top them:)

  127. Congrats to you, Colleen! These books are butterflying awesome! Next, a movie deal! I really would love to see these made into movies! My favorite books include:
Beautiful Disaster, While It Lasts (Sea Breeze series), Slammed, POR, The Moreno Brothers series, 5th Street series, Crash, Fifty Shades of Grey series, Love Unscripted, Easy, The Vincent Boys, The Vincent Brothers, Perfect Chemistry, Rules of Attraction, Chain Reaction, and so many more! Can’t wait to meet you in Chicago!

  128. Congrats on your success, I absoultely Loved Slammed. My favorite book so far has been Divergent. Followed by some Slammed, Fifty Shades, thoughtless, and of course twilight. Have a great Butterflying Vacation. :-)

  129. Congratulations!!!!!!!!! That’s really awesome. I hope your book becomes a sellout! :)
Hmm favorite book? Well, my top three are:
The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine,
(about a timid princess who has to set out on an adventure in order to rescue her adventurous sister from a deadly plague)
Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (a girl is cursed by the Witch of the Waste and turned into an old lady, and somehow ends up as a cleaning lady for a vain wizard who supposedly eats hearts),
The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty. Three Ashbury girls have a pen pal project where they write to Brookfield boys, and a bunch of really weird, hilarious stuff happens. And the characters are kind of weird but hilarious too. I’d say this is the most beach read-y type of book. :)

  130. That’s awesome! Congratulations!
One of my favorite books that I love to recommend to people is The Last Promise by Richard Paul Evans. It’s such a loving story, and it’s set in Italy, so it’s fun to read Evans’ descriptions of the country. I also really like The Sunflower by him as well.

  131. I know I’m probably late to the party on this one. I’m sure someone has already suggested it, but the Divergent series by Veronica Roth are great books!

  132. Aside from your two, which I absolutely love, I would say On The Island and the 50 Shades books. I also just finished them so they are freshest in my mind. My favorite book to read with my students (I teach 4th grade) is Frindle by Andrew Clements. Congratulations on your deal. You inspire me…I want to write my own story now!

  133. Congratulations! My favorite book of all time is Pride & Prejudice. I read it for the first time when I was 12 and have probably read it 30 times since then.
And can I just say my suck of the day is that my Kindle just broke right while I was in the middle of the book you recommended. And it’s no longer under warranty. :(

  134. Great news for you! I am really excited for you. Some of my favorites recently are of course Slammed and PoR, but also Gabriel’s Inferno and Gabriel’s Rapture, the Marriage Bargain, Heart of Steel, Playing for Keeps, and Perfection. Those are what stand out to me right now :)

  135. Colleen, wow, that is great news. I know you must have worked so hard to reach this point in your writing career. As far as favorite books, up until I read yours, it was Beautiful Disaster. But Slammed, and especially POR really touched my heart! Other books I love are:
    Shiver triology
City of Bones and all the books in that series
    Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince
The Moreno Brothers by Elizabeth Reyes

I’m a huge reader, so when I fall in love with a book, it has to amazing. Your books are AMAZING!

  136. First I want to say congrats! That is great news :)

Now on to my favorite book. I honestly would have to say it is Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom! It was recommended to me and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good book. It’s nonfiction, but it’s so moving that I thoroughly enjoyed it!

  137. I was thirsting for a good read, and I love poetry (writing it and reading it). I saw your title and knew it would quench my need. I bought the kindle version for 2.99. I read it in FOUR hours. I laughed and cried my butterflying eyes out. This was such a captivating story with characters that I now miss very much.
As I read your post about how you were self-published I was in awe. I am so excited for you and your accomplishments. You give me hope that I can do the same. I have wanted to write a novel for a long time and reading your testimony has given me the extra push to follow my dream. For that I say thank you!

Some of my favorite novels are… everything by Nicholas Sparks, 50 Shades trilogy, To Kill A Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men, and The Hunger Games trilogy

  138. Congrats!!! You totally deserve this! Slammed. & POR is definitely on my favorite list. I also love several that have been included in other comments: Beautiful Disaster, Easy, Bared to you, Love Unscripted, Unleashed (naughty but oh so nice ;-)). all on top of my list.

  139. Big congrats! Pillars of the Earth is my all time fave. Love that book and never thought I would enjoy it but boy it was amazing.

  140. This is so awesome, movie deal to follow shortly!! I would have to say “Hatchet” is my number one book. I remember reading this in the 5th grade and it made me a book lover for life! Congrats and all your success!!

  141. Honestly, Slammed is my favorite book. I have recommended it to so many people. But coming in a close second would be Take This Regret by A.L Jackson. I cried from the beginning of this book until the end (and sometimes we all need that!)

  142. You definitely deserve this, Colleen! I love love love your books, and just reread them both over the weekend!
My favorite books are the Harry Potter Series (just so magical!) Where the Heart Is, Slammed, and To Kill a Mockingbird. I think every one of my friends has read Slammed now :)

  143. Congrats!!!!! How can anyone answer this question? I’ve read so many great books this year. It’d be like asking who my favorite relative is. Oh to many to pick.

  144. Congratulations!! You deserve much success!! Favorite book other than slammed and Point… Thoughtless & Effortless (S.C. Stephens). I’m trying to rush all the girls in the office through the books so we can chat about all the characters. Thank you for these amazing books! Can’t wait to see what you do next! You are an amazing writer thank you for sharing your talents!!

  145. Congrats!!! So amazing. I am so butterflying in love with the Slammed series. I have read so many amazing books since june hard to pick any as my favorite. Some amazing story lines. Bared to you, thoughtless, effortless, chasing nikki, 50 shades series. Pretty much all of my read books on goodreads.com you can check under my name stacy barron martinez.

  146. Insanity by Lauren Hammond…or The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher….or any book from the Harry Potter series…or any book from The Hunger Games series!

  147. Wow, favorite book of all time…that is a hard one. My first thought was The Outsiders by SE Hinton (I read it so much in middle school I could quote it, and had my son read it last week for summer reading). I, too have recently (since sinus surgery last March) found my love of reading again. Loved Harry Potter (preordered Casual Vacancy), Twilight, 50 Shades, and I read Slammed and Point of Retreat on vacation a couple weeks ago–awesome read…you made me laugh and cry (in a good way). Gone Girl was an interesting read. Currently, I re-reading Love Unscripted (just love a great love story)! Can’t wait to read your next book…and Congrats!!!

  148. Yay!! Congrats!, Way to go! Loved, loved your books.

I recommend “The Opportunist” by Tarryn Fisher… This book blew my mind…. Wow, still speechless, it will leave you completely spent!

  149. Congrats Colleen!!! Your talent deserves this! My favorite book of all time….To Kill a Mockingbird.

  150. Wow. Can I say awesome! As a fellow aspiring author, I know how excited you must be about this!! You deserve it! I know how hard it is and how long it takes to create a book and I’m just proud to see other people making it happen.

So, favorite book of all time. You don’t ask much, do you Colleen? I have so many…

If you are looking for fantasy, I love The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa. She is one of my favorite authors of all time.

Maggie Steifivater (I know I totally spelled that wrong) has an amazing book called the Scorpio Races. Best imagery ever!!

If you love medieval fantasy, I just read a book by Elizabeth Vaughan called Warprize. OMG, it was amazing. I’m just a sucker for swords, action and little bit of romance.

As far as fellow indie authors, anything by Jennifer Armentrout or Abby Glines.

And lastly, I have to say the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, because it was his books that inspired me on my journey to begin writing.

I could list all night but I’ll spare you my long list of addictions…lol. What can I say, I love to read :)

  151. I love rereading ” jist a summer romance” it has been a fave YA book of mine since i was in jr high but i think it is out of print. I also love Easy and Slammed and POR, iknow u have already read the but what can i say they are good books. Congrats on getting published, you deserve it!

  152. Another series i really enjoyed reading is the series called “The Summer I turned Pretty” By Jenny Han. You should reallly check it out ! It was a great read !

  153. This is great! I become ECSTATIC when indie authors get their books published. There’s nothing better than physically holding the book, smelling the paper (I’m weird, I know)… It’s amazing. I’m so happy for you :)
As for favorite books, that’s tough. I enjoy reading and honestly, I love them all in their own special way. So I’m just going to list some books I’ve read from different genres. Hope you like some of them :D
The Gemme Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray
    The Reader by Bernhard Schlink
I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder
    The Missing by Shiloh Walker
How Do I Love Thee by Lurlene McDaniel
    Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
Colter’s Woman (Book 1) by Maya Banks
The Twin’s Daughter (Reminds me of the Bronte sisters for some reason) by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
The Darkest Evening of the Year by Dean Koontz
Witches of East End (Series) by Melissa de la Cruz
Cassandra Palmer Series by Karen Chance
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

Forever In Time by Nicky Charles
That’s all I can think of at the moment… As a side note (for anyone who is reading this), if you are interested in pop music or like piano, you NEED and MUST look up Elizaveta. She’s a wonderful, beautiful, talented pianists and singer. If you go on Youtube, look up “Meant” and “Odi et Amo.” Her voice gives me chills. She’s wonderful. Have a nice day/night and happy reading :)

  154. Sweet! Major congrats, Colleen! This is so exciting…I’ve never really known what publishing entails….I feel like we’re getting “behind the scene” action here!
Two of my favorites: The Art of Racing in the Rain (Garth Stein) and The Search (Nora Roberts). I’m a Great Dane sized dog lover here! Perhaps, Will and Lake should get a dog! Ha! Enjoy your vacation!

    • The Art of Racing in the Rain is amazing! I’d forgotten about it :( I read it in Highschool, about 3 years ago. The book reminded me of a movie I saw when I was a kid, it’s called Fluke.

  155. So excited for you! Well done!

It’s hard for me to say what my favorite book of all time is. I am 33 years old and picked up my first book (other then the couple I had to read in high school) about 3 months ago. I have a new love of reading. I average about 2-3 novels a week. My favorites are your of course and I have recommended them to many people. I am currently reading Beautiful Creatures. If you haven’t read them yet I would recommend Divergent and Insurgent ( I just finished them). Also, Bared To You is a good book. Good luck to you. Can’t wait for your next book!

  156. Flat Out Love by Jessica Park or That Boy/That Wedding by Jillian Dodd. Both are very funny and witty books and made me laugh out loud. Also His to Kill A Rockstar by Tiffanie DeBartolo.

  157. Congrats on your success. It is well deserved. I’m thrilled because your books deserve to be distributed to the reading masses! You have a fan for life here!!!

  158. Congratulations Colleen! Here are a few favorites from different genres

Dream Man series by Kristen Ashley
Colorado Mountain series by Kristen Ashley
A Neighbor From Hell series by R.L. Mathewson
    Gabriel’s Inferno by Sylvain Reynard
    Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia

  159. Congrats!! That is AWESOME! I’m so glad others have finally recognized the awesomeness that is your books. I’ve recommended them to several people (my besty, my sister, and girls at school) who have all jumped on the Lake/Will bandwagon. My favorite book of all time is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I loved how J.K. Rowling introduced us to a completely different world and her imagery was so good you could picture it an envision yourself living there!

  160. Sweet…falling in love with characters from two of the best books I’ve read in a long time!
    Suck…what will I read next?

  161. Congratulations!!!!! This is freakin amazing news!!! I’m so happy for you! You totally deserve it!

Okay.. And who can pick just ONE favorite book?!?!!!

Some favorites of mine.. Besides Slammed & POR (which btw are top of my list!!!)

The Eternal Eden series by Nicole Williams
Blue Sky Days by Marie Landry
Perfectly Hopeless by Holly Hood (bring your tissues!!!)
    Grounding Quinn by Steph Campbell
The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines
The Thoughtless Series by SC Stephens

Annnnd last for now is nothing like the rest… It has been one of my favorites since high school it’s true story and not a romance, it’s called
And I don’t want to live this life by Deborah Spungen!

Hope there are some you can enjoy!!! Congrats again!!!!!!

  162. You are butterflying awesome and I butterflying love your books. I can’t waittttt for you to finish what you’re working on. Congratulations and I’m so proud ! Keep it up :)

  163. oh I am so glad you asked this question because i am looking for some books to read. One of my all time favorites is Redeeming love by Francine rivers soo soo soo good! My favorites that i have read this summer are probably (other than your they are that the top of my list) Beautiful Disaster, Love unscripted, gone girl, Gabriels rapture and Gabriels inferno. I started the summer by reading the 50 shades series and it got my reading bug moving again!

  164. Congratulations! You butterflying earned all the success. Wow. As for favorite book of all times for me there is more than one. Here’s a short list..

    Slammed & Point of Retreat
    Beautiful Disaster
    Gabriel’s Rapture
    On the Island
    Fever Series

There’s more but I think I’ll stop there.

  165. awesome news, congrats! i’ve read both of ur books so i’m waiting with feverish delight for your next work of art! my favorite book of all time has to be “catcher in the rye” and “les miserables” is a close second. i guess i like melancholy and tragedy. as far as beach reads go, i’ve been reading crime/suspense romance novels a lot. i really like laura griffin’s stuff.

  166. I was looking through my kindle when I came across Slammed. I loved it so much that I bought Retreat as soon as I finished Slammed! I read them both tonight! I could it put them down!! You have a fan for life!

  167. I am do happy for you! I read Slammed without great expectations but after only a couple of chapters u was hooked. My sweet was finding the amazing books, my suck was finishing them in 3 days! I am now waiting eagerly for more from Colleen Hoover :) wouldn’t know where to start with my fave book of all time, that’s like asking which of my children are my fave. However, my current reads are Beautiful Disaster, Gabriel’s Inferno and Gabriels Rapture, the boy who sneaks in my bedroom window, and pretty much anything from Nicholas Sparks.

  168. Wow.So proud of you.I’m glad so many other people will have the opportunity to read your books!congrats!:)
I don’t have one book to choose as my all time favorite. But if I really had to,i’d say the whole Harry Potter series in general. Not only because Goblet of Fire was the first actual ‘big’ book I read, but also because it’s just such a great book series!

  169. That’s great Colleen!!! I am so happy for you. As for my favourite book, I have to say Slammed :-P But you probably know that one already, haha :-) So another I like is 50 shades trilogy (the writing isnt that good, but the main man character is hot). Or you could try something from Jackie Collins. Her books are quite entertaining as well. Enjoy your holiday :-)

  170. Congrats. I am so excited for you. Slammed is such a great book, as well as Point of Retreat. I was never much of a reader, and in high school I would do whatever I could to not have to read something. My junior year I had to do a book project and I went to the bookstore and bought the smallest of the best sellers. That book “A Walk to Remember” by Nicholas Sparks, showed me that reading could transport you to somewhere you have never been, and make you feel emotions that you have never felt. It is because of that book, that I have continued to enjoy reading.

  171. Congrats! This is AWESOME!!! You deserve all this success and more:)

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows and Grave Mercy by Robin LeFevers are my favorite books:)

    Thanks so so much:)

  172. My favorites as for today:

Looking for Alaska-John Green (i actually just ordered 2 of his other books-Paper Towns and The abundance of Katherines)
The darkest powers trilogy- Kelley Armstrong
    Catch-22-Joseph Heller
The Shadow of the Wind-Carlos Ruiz Zafón
    Norwegian Wood- Haruki Murakami
The Catcher in the Rye :)
Missing Kissinger- Etgar Keret (a collection of 50 short stories. kind of weird and sometimes disturbing). I read it in Hebrew, i don’t know how the English version is.
Last week i finished the John Cleaver trilogy by Dan Wells..its really weird being inside of a sociopath’s mind. It’s YA but it can get pretty twisted.
Stolen – Lucy Christopher. Two words-Stockholm Syndrome!!!(but seriously, it really messed with my mind)

Wow… i read a lot of disturbing things.

hmmm… sorry about the bad English its actually my third language.

  173. Hmmm.. My favorite book of all time, that’s a tough one.. I read a LOT! I would have to say its a toss between, thoughtless and effortless(can’t wait for the third), slammed and point of retreat( can’t wait for more), beautiful disaster( can’t wait for Travis’ POV), and 50 shades trilogy. Lol! Elizabeth Reyes, The Moreno brothers was really good too!

  174. I don’t just have one book that I love. I have a lot that I LOVE. I am a huge rereader, so without further ado, here are some of my favorite rereads:

Callum&Harper by Fisher Amelie (so so soo good. Totally bawling (good bawling) for a lot of it).

Edenbrooke (Pride and Prejudice-ish) by Julianne Donaldson

The Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan (packs a huge emotional punch, HUGE).

I’ve said this before, but I will say it again: On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves

    Anything by Jennifer Armentrout

The Summer Series by Jenny Han

  175. Congratulations on your signing with a publisher! You deserve it. My favorite read this summer (yours included) is Gabriels Inferno & Gabriels Rapture. Mmmmmm.

  176. HUGE congratulations, Colleen!!! These stories are FABULOUS…you truly deserve to get these published!
It’s so tough to pick a favorite book – there are so many great series right now! The Hunger Games, 50Shades, Thoughtless…but a few great indies that I just came across would have to be RL Mathewson’s The Neighbor from Hell series & Hollywood Hearts! Laugh out loud fantastic stories!

  177. Congrats Colleen! Loved both your books and have read them 3 times this summer. My all time favorite book is Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Have a great vacation! <3

  178. Ok :) First off… I adore your writing skills :) I agree with everyone else, you SO deserve it!!! I love reading your blogs too! They definitely are a “sweet” part of my day. Reading some of the comments of book refs….they took some of my all time favorites, but how about The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Please do not ever stop telling your stories!!!!

  179. Im very happy for you, you deserve it!…My favorite book…of all times, is Pride and Prejudice!, and recently I’ve read a lot of good books…like easy, The fault in our stars and Flat out love…

  180. I am so excited for all of us. We are blessed with the privilege of reading more books from you.
I have so many books I like I couldn’t begin to name my favorite. If ur looking for comedy and romance then Sophie kinsella is ur girl. If you want sci fi then karen marie moning (fever series) or laurell k Hamilton. And let’s not forget the classics, Jane austen is always good.

  181. Congratulations on Simon & Schuster! It is hard to pick one favorite book… one of mine is Animal, Vegetable, Mineral by Barbara Kingsolver, which is actually nonfiction. Another nonfiction that reads like a novel is Breaking Night by Liz Murray, which was made into a movie. A great fiction read is How I LIve Now by Meg Rosoff – it does have some uncomfortable issues, but very worthwhile.

  182. Would it be cheesy to say it’s yours?? I’d say a tie between slammed point of retreat beautiful disaster and easy!

  183. I just read Slammed and loved it! I was literally sobbing last night and I can’t wait to read Point of Retreat. So hard to decide what my all time favorite book is but the one I’ve probably read the most is Island of the Blue Dolphins.

  184. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU COLLEEN!!! YOU’RE AN AMAZING WRITER AND YOUR BOOKS HAVE STAYED WITH ME SINCE I FIRST READ THEM. I CANT WAIT FOR WILL’S STORY!!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS(BESIDES YOURS)IS ON THE ISLAND BY TRACY GARVIS-GRAVES.

I WOULD LOVE A SIGNED COPY OF YOUR BOOKS!!! AND GOOD LUCK!!

  185. OMG IM SOOO EXCITED FOR YOU COLLEEN!!! Congrts congrats congrats!!! Slammed and POR are AMAZING books!!!
some books that i love are…

    Thoughtless Series
    Crash
    That Boy/ That Wedding
    The Premonition Series
    Easy
    The Conversion Series
    Avoiding Commitment Series

  186. Butterflying way to go! Congratulations!! I agree with everyone else, your books and your blog continue to be SWEETS for me!!!

Probably my ALL time favorite book(s) is the Anne of Green Gables series.

I say probably because sometimes my favorite depends on my mood, just like what music I’m into that day. Some of my other favorite reads include Slammed and Point of Retreat (of course!!), Pride & Prejudice,The Hunger Games, The Harry Potter’s, Twilight, Beautiful Disaster, Providence/Eden/Requiem,50 Shades of Grey, Bared to You, The Vincent Boys, and The Sookie Stackhouse Series….I could go on and on because once I find a good book it becomes part of me. I enjoy re-reading them and the characters become part of me! I can’t tell you how much it is like Christmas when I check my email and their is a blog from you that lets us spend another moment with Lake and Will!!!

  187. Favorite book of all time is most definitely a tie between Slammed and Point of Retreat!!!! Just really started dedicating time to reading this summer and can’t find anything I like better than these two. Also just finished Reason to Breathe and Barely Breathing which definitely ranked up there toward the top. My other summer favorites were already included in your earlier post… Flat out love, Captive in the Dark, I also liked South of Bixby Bridge… The list goes on. So very happy for you and your success. Have an amazing, well deserved vacation!

  188. Congrats Colleen! I’m so happy for you. You have read/wrote/recommended my summer reads so I will recommend not my “favorite” but a really good read. “the glass lake” by Maeve Binchy. Have a nice vacation!

  189. I really love Easy, anything really by Jennifer L. Armentrout (if you’re looking for a paranormal), and as it always will be, Slammed and PoR :)

  190. Congrats Colleen! Love this idea of favorite books………..my TBR list is about to explode. I’t SO hard to pick a favorite BUT…I will have to go with Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel as I named my daughter Ayla after the main character. When book four, The Plains of Passage, was released I was at Barnes and Nobel (with 9month old Ayla) when the doors opened. I do have a signed copy of both book one and two. It would be an honor to place a signed copy of SLAMMED next to these treasured books.

  191. Congratulations Colleen! I’m so happy for you, if anyone deserved this it’s you!
Now that Slammed & POR will be on bookshelves, I hope many more readers will discover this amazing books and fall in love with them the way I did.

I have so many favorite books, but just to name a few:
Shadow of the Wind – Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Between Shades of Gray – Ruta Sepetys
    Forbidden – Tabitha Suzuma
The Kite Runner – Khaled Hosseini
Mistress of Rome – Kate Quinn
If I Stay + Where She Went – Gayle Forman

  192. Wow, Congrats on the awesome news! Humm, my favorite book of all time is kinda hard. How about favorite series? I could read and re-read the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning over and over and over again. Come on Barrons! Hot!!!

  193. to be truthful, one of my fave’s is Slammed and Point of Retreat…but since you need Beach Reads…I guess I’ll say Memoirs of a Geisha. But for a more contemporary choise, I LOVED The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window (Which you’ve already read) LOL…

  194. Congratulations! How awesome! Can’t wait to see your series get crazy-popular! :)

For beach reads, you obviously need to check out “On the Island” by Tracy Garvis-Graves, if you haven’t already. And one of my all-time favs is “Girl With a Pearl Earring”. I’m also a huge, mega, Twilight fan. I don’t apologize for it. I adore Stephanie Meyer’s writing. On that note “The Host” is spectacular. Better than Twilight in some ways.

  195. It has been so fun tracking all of your successes! Many Congratulations to you :)

My favorite book is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I read it three time in one year and the entire series (which consists of 7 monstrous books) twice in a year and a half. Of course, I read both of your books twice in one week, so I guess that is saying something :)

  196. Wow, that’s so exciting! Congratulations! :) I can’t wait to see your books in bookstores!!

I feel like there’s so many favorite reads to choose from, but to list a few….

    * Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh
    * Existence series by Abbi Glines
    * Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
    * Major Crush by Jennifer Echols
I could go on and on but I’ll stop here. Some of the other books I’d suggest, you’ve already read ; )

  200. Congrats to you!! Your books have brought such joy to me, and you deserve great success. As for favorite book….geez. I’m such a bookworm there are so many for so many moods. I would have to say one of my recent favorites (besides yours of course, and I mean that) is Callum and Harper by Fisher Amelie. Emotional rollercoaster and great summer read, which actually leads to the sequel of Thomas and January which I loved as well. Also, all of Samantha Young’s books. OH….how could I forget the whole Prince of Wolves series by Quinn Loftis. Ok, now I’m done!

  201. Favorite book of all time? I’d have to say I have two and the number one spot ‘Like water for chocolate’ by Laura Esquivel (I’ve read it in Spanish though…trust me it’s so much more intense!) and ‘Saint Emmanuel the Good, Martyr’ by Miguel de Unamuno.

Tons of luck on your publication hoping that there might be more to the story of Will & Lake! :)

  202. Thats so butterflying awesome!!! Congrats! Your deserve it!

It is amazing to me to look at all these posts and feel a connection with so many others who have read and enjoyed books that I have read and enjoyed. You are a very talented writer and I thank you for allowing me to travel into your works.

Ps. Best book? One of them would be Quantum Thief.

  206. Congrats Colleen, so well deserved. Besides all the new up-and-coming authors I’ve been reading since I discovered y’all I’ve read my share of books over the years. I always think of my summer reading lists as “the fun stuff” so I think I’ll make my pick from there. Years ago I read Summer Sisters while lounging at the beach. I’ve recently passed it on to a few friends who also brought it along on their beach get aways. If you haven’t read it, you’re in for a treat, if you have then you know what I mean. Beach reading/vacation reading is different, we’re not looking for a pulitzer contender, we’re looking for that get in your head and enjoy it book. Happy vaca!

Do you know if the Avett Brothers have noticed an increase in their sales? I bet they have!

  216. Favorite of all time……wow that’s kinda hard. I’m gonna go with Firefly lane by Kristin Hannah. Someone gave it to me a couple of years ago and it got me into reading again as an adult! great read, I describe it as a kind of Forrest Gump journey!

  217. CONGRATS!!! Fabulous news.

Hard to choose a favorite book… Seems like I always find a new favorite… “The Thirteenth Tale”? Perhaps. Or maybe it was “The Art of Racing in the Rain”. Really loved that book. “Time Traveler’s Wife”? Loved the book; hated the movie. “Garden Spells”? I love any book that has a bit of magic mixed in. The world could really use a little more magic. xoxo

  218. I am so excited for you. I can’t wait for your next book and can’t say enough about Slammed and POR. They are at the top of my list and have given me the jump start to read more and of course you gave me the Avett Brothers. Some other great reads for me are Brave New World (an oldie but a goodie), Flat Out Love, The Opportunist, the Avoiding Commitment Series, Unscripted Love, The Hunger Games Series, The Untouchable Series, Crowes Row and my latest reads Crash, and Chasing Nikki. I can’t thank you enough for encouraging me through your books to keep reading and to look for new authors. It is butterflying fantastic!

I juat had a friend of mine put me onto your books – BEMAZING!! People like you make this world a much better place with the amazing talent you have. I have only recently started reading as i was finding it hard to sleep at night, i have only read about 10 books all up (and i’m 32!!!) Your books certainly top my most favourite!! I have also enjoyed reading “Michelle Holman” books, she is a New Zealand author and she like you just likes to put pen to paper and write! I think “Bonkers” and “Barefoot” from Michelle Holman are great books to read also :)
I too (like the rest of your fans) await the next release of your many books :)
Enjoy your break and hope you have fun reading :)

  223. First off I want to say that slammed was everythink I looked for in a book. Maybe even more. I bought the book at night and had to pull an all nighter because that is how much I enjoyed this book. I laughed, I cried. I yelled. I was shocked. I screamed at the character LOL but that is what made the book different that the others I have read. It broke my heart in the en and I cried and cried. Keep up the excellent work. My favorite book of all time is a farewell to arms. When I was in high school, my teacher had us memorize that book and endless quizzes regarding it. At the end. It captured my attention so much. My friends think I’m weird that Hemingway is at the top of the list but certain stories just capture your attention so easily. Please keep up the good work. And looking toward to reading your upcoming stories.

  224. You are AWESOME..my friend stumbled acrossed your book and she tols me i had to read it…just so you know i just finished the second one. It took me only three days to finish both but i coildve done it faster but i had to go to work lol! I want to say you are wonderful and i hope you co tjnue on this journey and that your stories touch many more people!!!! I have recommened it to several of my friends and i wil continue to do so…..keep it up!!!! Love….love……love them!!!! Thank you!!!

  225. Enjoyed slammed very much..I read it in a day and immediately started on point of retreat the next day and finished…great reads…I just finished the fifty shades trilogy which I really enjoyed…I am going to pick up some of your others now …I’ll be back in the comments soon…congratulations on your well deserved success …

  226. Woop woop!! I’m excited, b/c I recently received my won signed copy of Slammed in the mail (and immediately lent it to my Mom), and now I’m gonna need a hard copy of POR, too!!

I just read through the suggestions and had fun adding to my wishlist. Was trying to think of high rating books that haven’t been mentioned that I could see:

    * Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (it’s a trilogy in 5 books, but the first 3 really are the best — I really need to re read this…)
    * Lamb by Christopher Moore
    * Reckless Magic (Starcrossed Series) by Rachel Higginson
    * Angelfall by Susan Ee (disturbing, a bit out of my normal reading, but fantastic)
    * Inescapable (The Premonition series) by Amy A Bartol (I’ve only read the first 2 so far, but that’s b/c I can’t stand waiting for more books in a series and am waiting for it to be finished completely)
    * Wishing for Someday Soon by Tiffany King
    * What a Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn (a fabulous boy POV book)
    * Fragile by M. Leighton
    * The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley

Obviously I don’t need to win another book, just wanted to share my suggestions!!!

  227. Love, Love, Love your books! I just finished reading Avoiding Committment by K Laube! WOW! Fantastic, exhausting, emotional, romantic…. A Must Read!!

I am so butterflyingly happy for you, that your dreams are becoming a reality! Congrats

  228. Congrats!!! This is def wonderful news! I would have to say that i have a few favorite books such as beautiful disaster, slammed, POR, easy, and many more.

  229. Congrats Colleen! Besides Slammed and Point of Retreat (can’t wait for Will’s Story!), The Fault in My Stars is my favorite book of all time. Anything John Green is amazing!

  230. S.c Stephens is a author my sister turned me on to….and s.c Stephens turned me on to you lol I really enjoyed the book and I’m impatient to read. But I suggest anything from s.c Stephens (obviously I’m obsessed). Or from mucous Charles that’s what I’ve been reading…….really steamy books. :)

      • I will forever be a fan of these book colleen. I can’t put them down! I was up till 3am the other night finishing slammed and then today I finished point of retreat and now I’m patiently awaiting the new book. Super excited.

      • i have to say that reading these books have really made me open my mind to a whole new way of love, i mean i have always know what love it. but reading slammed and point of retreat has mad me fall in love with what love can be like. i will forever be changed and im learning to use my newly opened mind. i am so excited for the new books to come.COLLEEN HOOVER IS NOW ONE OF MY NEW FAV AUTHORS OF ALL TIME! AND IVE ALREADY TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW WHO ARE READERS!

  231. Totally unrelated to my favorite books, but I was talking to a friend this weekend about Slammed (she bought it after I gushed about how great it was), and I was telling her about who you had potentially cast as Will and Lake. Diego (while HOT) was not quite who I had pictured as Will. I was watching the Olympics and saw a commercial for a new fall sitcom – featuring the Will I have always pictured! Jesse Bradford … There is something very ‘guy next door’ about him – and he’s every bit the hottie that Diego is.

  232. I read the first in four hours and the second within three. Such fresh story, and believeable too. I’m an Avett fan myself, as well as my boyfriend, and I actually caught him reading over my shoulder. But it was really the Nickelback dig that made me FALL in love with the story. Thanks for making me laugh out loud AND cry. Cant wait to read your next stuff!

    • Forgot to mention my favorite book!

Jane Eyre. :) Brit lit isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it is mine. I’m currently reading Jane Austen’s novels (stuck in the middle of Mansfield Park) and I’m enjoying it so far.
One of my favorite more recent reads is Goldengrove by Francine Prose. Its such a great coming of age/dealing with loss/romance piece. I just cant do it justice with an attempt at a description so go pick it up!

  233. DAMN IT!!! How did i read all the pages of Slammed in ONE DAY??!! I have read a number of novels, and thus far yours takes the cake! I’ve adored E.L. James’ series….but that was after i HEARD about it. I’m proud to be one of the readers to spread the wildfire on this one. Congrats! I am turning to your next one and I’ll be patiently awating more :) thanks for the read.

  234. Congratulations, Colleen! I really, really want to win a signed copy of your book! Favorite book would have to be Jellicoe Road by the super amazing Melina Marchetta, a woman whose talent is just ohmygoodnessyoublowmeoutofmymind unbelievable. She’s Aussie and arguably the best YA author out there. If you haven’t read any of her books, you totally should. You’ve no idea what you’re missing. For a beach read, I’d suggest Jenny Han’s Summer series. I love Jenny’s writing. So deceptively simple but heart wrenching… Speaking of heart wrenching, if you want a read that would tear your to pieces and then stomp all over you, give Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma a try. Hands down the hardest book I’ve ever read in my life so far.

(All recommended books are YA. I pretty much don’t read any other genre.)

I really want to win this time!

  235. Congrats!!!! SO butterflying excited for you! Hopefully puts you that much closer to Slammed becoming a movie :) Okay, not trying to suck up, but my new favorite book of all time is seriously Slammed. Never thought anything would come along to push Twilight Series out of first, but here we are. Slammed and POR are my new favorite book highs haha. Trying hard to introduce new people to the series!!

  236. Amazing!! So happy for you congratulations!! I really can’t pick a favorite but if I have to I would say Twilight. One of my favs for sure! Doesn’t help with your summer reading, but you should be writing not reading!! LOL Just kidding. Seriously excited for you. :)

  237. Congrats! Next step, movie rights??? I think you have read one of my favorite books this year, Beautiful Disaster. I am in the same boat as you, I am looking for another good read. Too bad your next book isn’t ready yet.

  238. Congrats!! I can’t wait to go out and buy them!! I’ve been reading them on my iPad and I just can’t get enough of them!!

I can’t really pick out of slammed and poin of retreated is my favorite. I retread them at least once a week

  239. Colleen! You have written a book that has truly been a butterflying inspiration to me. I will be forever greatful to you for giving me this experience during a time when I needed to believe in many things again. So thank you very much…your books are my FAVORITE this summer! Being an avid reader though, I have a few great ones for the summer…Beautiful Disaster, Easy, Fifty Shades Trilogy, Reason to Breath Series, On the Island, The Lucky One, and if you haven’t read it yet, my hero last summer The Girl with the Dragon Tatto! Enjoy you vacation and happy reading!

  240. I read everyday. I have read around 100 books so far this year. There are a lot I like, but my all time favorite book is The Bronze Horseman. There are three books in this series. The Bronze Horseman is followed by Tatiana and Alexander, and The Summer Garden. These are the most emotional books I have ever read. I laughed, cried, sobbed, was broken hearted, heated, anxious, mad, furious, exhilarated, fell in love, joyous. I was an emotional wreck at the end of The Bronze Horseman. I usually don’t choose to read books like that because, let’s face it, real life has plenty of emotional roller coasters of it’s own. Having said that, I am so happy, grateful, and thankful that I read these books. They have changed my view on all books. I’m having a hard time finding anything worthy of reading now. I can’t say enough about these books, they are in a league of their own.

Congratulations on your accomplishments! Slammed and Point of Retreat are definitely worthy of being published in print.

  241. Congrats! I just finished reading both of your books… it took me less than a week for both! So definitely they are two of my favorites-I think Point of Retreat is the best. Other books I loved are Hunger Games and 50 Shades, those are must reads! Please write more!!!

  242. Wow! I was blown away by Slammed and Point of Retreat. The word butterfly will always bring a smile to my face and will pass my lips often in the future : )

I read A LOT so I don’t think I could possibly pick only one all time favorite. Here are some that rank at the top…
Nicky Charles’ Lycan series (The Mating, The Finding, The Keeping, Bonded)
    Aris Whittier – Across Eternity
JD Nixon – Heller series & Little Town series
Anything and Everything by SC Stephens (Thoughtless, Effortless, Not a Chance, It’s All Relative, Collision Course)
    Jamie McGuire – Beautiful Disaster
Sylvia Day – Bared to You
And of course… Twilight, Hunger Games and 50 Shades

Have a great vacation! Can’t wait to continue Will & Lake’s story!

  243. My favorite book of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird — closely followed by In the Garden of Good and Evil, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and the Hunger Games! Enjoy!

  244. I am so happy for you. You deserve it.

My favorite book of all time is a book I read when I was 13-14 years old. A book I have never forgotten and read again every couple years. It is PS I Love You by Barbara Conklin. It is an 80′s teen romance but I love it. I even had my daughter read it when she was growing up.

I also love the Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton. If you like 50 shades then you would like this. It is a wonderful emotional book. Make sure you have plenty of tissues handy.

Must reads are the Cambion Series by Shannon Dermott and Brenna Blixen Series by Liz Reinhardt. If there is anyone who have not read them they are missing out.

  245. I am so excited for you! I just finished both of your books ( in 2 days with 3 little ones running around..lol). They were incredible reads…so so good. I actually assigned them to my book club to read and I cannot wait to discuss them. We all live in Texas too! Let’s see one of may favorite books is by an author that is also self published and so amazingly talented. The 3 books in the series are Glendale, A New Day, and Promising Forever by Ann Goering. Have a wonderful vacation…you have lots to celebrate!

  246. WOW… Congratulations!!!!! It’s hard to pick but I would have to say that my favorite of all time is “The Sky is Everywhere” by Jandy Nelson (next to your books of course)….. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity to win your books. Love You!!!!!!

  247. That’s butterflying awesome news!!! Such an awesome accomplishment!! Ive always loved to read but high school, college & grad school left me reading more texbooks. I’m so happy to say that you’re books have helped me remember what I love so much about reading!!!
My favorite books growing up: Babysitters Club
My favorites now: Slammed, POR, Bared to You-Crossfire series, Easy, Love Unscripted, Crash, I could go on forever.
Thank you for putting your heart and soul into your writing because it feels so good to us, your fans when we laugh, cry, and refuse to put this story that feels so much a part of us!!!
    Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  248. AWESOME! These publishers are not allowed to make you wait a year between books though. I HATE THAT ABOUT THEM!!!!!!!

  249. Congratulations!!! I just loved your books and after reading them I could not stop talking about them to people until they read them themselves! I was pretty persistent :) I can’t wait to get a tangible copy of each!

As for my favorite book of all time? That’s definitely a hard one but I will say that this year I have read some pretty great books (yours included) and I really loved “the fault in our stars” by John Green, “on the island” by Tracey Graves, the “star-crossed” series by Rachel higginson and also the “Starcrossed series” (ironic I know) by Josephine Angelini was the most recent books I’ve read. All were great reads, something different and books I would recommend to others. Congrats again, you deserve it!!!

  250. You should be so proud!!
The only books I have read are the fifty shades series(love..love); Crash by nicole williams;captured in the dark by CJ roberts; bared to you by sylvia Day; The burn list by julia devlin and of course my FAVORITES Slammed and Point of retreat…that’s it, Im 36 and have just gotten into reading. SSSOO butterflying great I stumbled apon Slammed. I will keep stalking this post for book suggestions!
    Congrats Colleen

  251. Congrats on getting published, I really loved your books, I read them back to back! I really think you need to keep the story going! As of right now I have to say my fav book of all time is Weekends Required By Sydney Landon, its her first book in the series. She is suppose to have 6 all together but so far there are only 2.

  252. Congratulations Colleen! I am very excited for you. I will enjoy watching your trajectory continue to soar up and up and up! I think about how great this must feel for you as a writer, but also it must feel great knowing that as your success continues you will be able to provide benefits for your family. As for my favorite book of all time? That’s so hard–how can I pick only one? I have to go back to a childhood favorite that still has a sweet nostalgic beauty to it as I read it as an adult: Anne of Green Gables, the classic by Lucy Maud Montgomery.

  253. Woo hoo! Congrats! One of my favorite books of all time is Fire by Kristin Cashore, but you can’t read that without reading Graceling (the first book in the collection). Both books are exquisite. There’s action, romance, and the writing is beautiful. Sigh.

  254. My all time favorite book is “To Kill A Mockingbird”. I read this book every year and am always moved by the excellent characters. I have Slammed downloaded and am looking forward to reading it. Book I read recently that I love is “Easy”. Am loving all the “new adult” books out there right now. Much needed genre in the literary world.

  255. I absolutely LOVE both Slammed and Point if Retreat! I have been recommending them to all of my friends. Do you know what’s really awesome??? My husband has even read them. Just a couple of years ago, you couldn’t have paid him to read a book, but he has fallen in love with your story so much that he went and bought a Kindle just so he can read while at work. Your characters are very believable and easy to relate to, as are their situations.
Please keep writing. We can’t wait to see what you do next!

  256. I haveloved your books – congrats – you deserve everything you’re getting! I’ve read them both several times and am so excited to see more of Will’s POV.
My fav book of all time…Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand – non fiction, which i typically don’t love. But i loved it and it stared me back to a path of reading again…The story of Unbroken is amazing and the author did such a good job telling the story. FOr non fiction, i have to say i devoured Fifty Shades of Grey, and loved Crash, Easy, Thoughtless, Effortless, Avoiding Commitment, Avoiding Responsibility – i can’t pick just one.
    Thanks!

  257. Favorite book? Just one? I feel like I’m being asked to pick a favorite child (I don’t have a child but I’m assuming I would feel as torn in that situation as I do now). And I’m guessing I can’t say Slammed either- you probably don’t want to read your own book on the beach, huh? So instead I’m going to list a few of my favorites; How to Kill a Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo (I will warn you though this one might make you cry, and not subtle tears, full on unattractive snot crying- hopefully you have a giant beach hat), The Opportunist by Taryn Fisher (cocktails on the beach will go nicely with this one), Thoughtless & Effortless by SC Stephens, the Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton (Again, with the snot crying and the need for the giant beach hat) and the Redhead series by Alice Clayton (great for a laugh). Ok I’m going to stop now, I clearly have too many “children” to choose from, but feel free to adopt them as you wish! And congratulations on the wonderful news- this is so well deserved!

  258. Congratulations on your well deserved success. The books I can’t stop thinking about are Slammed, PoR, Easy, thoughtless/effortless and the breathe series. All are fresh in my mind since I read them this summer. Can’t wait to add Will’s story to this list.

  259. Congratulations- just finished both books you deserve to have a wider audience.

Not necessarily all time favorites but definitely worth reading-
    The language of flowers (fiction)
    Unbroken (nonfiction)

  260. Congratulations! Your books are amazing. After reading them, they have joined my list of favorite books this year. Also thanks to you and your followers for posting other recommendations to read. I am looking forward to reading Captive. The first chapters seem intriguing. If I were to recommend a book while out relaxing on the beach, I would suggest reading the first two books of The Inn Boonsboro Trilogy by Nora Roberts. The books were heart warming and I really enjoyed them. I did not get as emotionally involved as I did in your books or even from others mentioned but they’re great if you just want to relax.

  261. Congratulations! My favorite reads of all times..hmmm. That’s a hard one, cause I’ve only recently really dove into reading. Your books, Beautiful Disaster, Divergent, Insurgent, Hunger Games series, Take That Regret.

  262. Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment!!! That has to be one butterflying sweet!!

I honestly don’t have an all-time favorite book, I love so many. Maybe “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” is up there but I have not read it in sooo long. But I can say I just finished reading both “Thoughtless” & “Effortless” (Thoughtless Series) by SC Stephens and I really liked them. Like liked them, liked them. Or maybe loved them, still undecided on them as they are resonating with me STILL (I just finished last night so I need to let them sink in). Of course, I jumped on the Fifty Shades bandwagon and I am having some Christian Grey withdrawals. Major withdrawals. I’m having some major Will withdrawals, too, after reading both twice. Thanks for those teasers, helps take the edge of LOL.

Other books I have read recently and really enjoyed (although you probably have read them already):

    “Beautiful Disaster” Jamie McGuire
“Unleashed” Cherrie Lynn (Ross Siblings #1)
“Rock Me” Cherri Lynn (Ross Siblings #2)
    “Bared to You” Sylvia Day
    “Gone Girl” Gillian Flynn

  263. I normally start a book but never finish until I was encouraged to read Slammed and was not able to put it down until finished. So Slammed and Point of Retreat.

  264. The Slammed series is Amazing!! I’d really love to read more from Will’s POV! Any book that makes me laugh and tear up is a good one.

  265. I loved both your books! Definately on my favorite and you have become a favorite author! My other trends are Nicholas Sparks ( The Notebook is my all tine favorite), Jodi Picoult (My Sister’s Keeper and 19 Minutes). 50 shades series. Just as you have done, i love to read from another characters perspective when the characters are that good! There could be 3 more 50 Shades books based on that. I would be so excited to read Slammed from Will’s point of you. Just the sneak peek captivated me! Another good beach read that dealt with some similar issues in your book is Between Sisters by Kristin Hannah.

  266. Congratulations! I am so happy for you, and can NOT wait to read whatever else you put out there!

There is NO WAY I could pick just one book as my all time favorite! I read all kinds of genres. Some of my favorite authors: Nicky Charles and Heather Killough-Walden (both Indi authors) I also love Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series, Sookie Stackhouse series, If I Stay by Gayle Forman, Water for Elephants, The Help, anything by Jodi Picoult, anything by Harlan Coben, I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb…I could go on and on and on, but I absolutely love Love LOVE L.O.V.E. Slammed and POR!!!

  267. My favorite series so far other then your two books would have to be the Eden Trilogy by Nicole Williams! They are so good and addicting! Can’t wait for your next book and hope its out soon, the teasers are killing me…lol

  268. Congrats on the book deal! Thats great news and so excited for you! I just have to say that my favorite books have to be Slammed and Point of Retreat! They have truely inspired me and have changed my perspective on life. You dont find many books that can do that. Some of my favorite books are: Beautiful Disaster, Easy, JD Robb Series just to name some. Thanks so much for writting such great stories. I cant wait to read more of your work!

  269. Fav book of all time? I don’t really have one, but I always enjoy my most recent reads. Slammed, of course. I also really liked Beautiful Disaster.

by the way, I’m a huge Avett fan too, and will be seeing them perform live at ACL in Austin this October! I hope Slammed encouraged some readers to check them out!

  270. Congrats on the book deal! I have been telling everyone I can about Slammed and Point of Retreat. I am trying to convince everyone of my friends to read it. I have never been so addicted to a book in my life! I laughed, I cried and I stayed up way later then normal just to finish it. I plan on reading both of them again and I never read a book more than once. Thank you for reminding me why I love reading so much. You are a very talented writer and I cant wait for you to publish more books!

  271. I literally just finished reading Slammed and Point of Retreat, and I have to say that they’re now my favorites! However, I would recommend the Across the Universe trilogy by Beth Revis!

  272. Colleen… I recently found my love for reading..I never thought in my entire life, that I could replace my tv for a book, and now, my new favorite thing to do, is to read… As a mother, and wife, I definitely consider reading as my “ME TIME!” as for my favorite book, well actually books, it would have to be The Twilght Saga…Stephanie Meyers..Twilight was the first book I bought and read pretty much since the required reading list back when I was in high school 8 years ago! I was hooked instantly, and read all 4 books in 1 week! Then I read Hunger Games, finished it in like 4 days..Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy in like 5 days, but Slammed, I finished in 1 day, I couldn’t put my kindle down! Then I read Point of Retreat in 1 Day! I really loved both of your books, and currently re- reading them until I find a new book.. I really would like Wills wholeversion of the first book! I would buy it NO DOUBT! Thank you for 2 great books!

  273. I seriously enjoyed both Slammed and Point of Retreat. I just found them by chance as I was perusing my book suggestions on Amazon. Love, love, love these books. Congrats on getting a book deal!

  274. Congrats Colleen!! How very exciting!! Just wanted to say I ABSOLUTLEY LOVED the Slammed series!! ( I will be leaving reviews on Amazon and Barnes soon!) I am having a hard time starting trying to find something else to read!!!! I totally miss Will & Layken!! (I may end up re-reading the books before Christmas lol) and I’ve been recommending them to everyone I know!!!! As for my all time favorite book hmmm.. First to come to mind is “The Notebook” by Nicholas Sparks, next the early years of any V.C. Andrews (Flowers in the Attic) before she passed away. I recently read “A Sweethaven Summer” by Courtney Walsh, and LOVED IT!! I really LOVE your novels!! Can’t wait to read more from you!! Have a great vacation!!!

  275. Ohmaagawwwwh, Colleeen! That is super duper butterflying BEMAZING! EEEP, I’m SO ecstatic for you! Wow, this is…aaahlakjsdflkjasdkjflkjgaaahhh! Congratulations! I’m oh-so-very happy for you! YAAAAY! <3333

I cannnot wait to see Slammed and Point of Retreat sitting on shelves!

  276. Congratulations, hope you have a great holiday and I butterflying can’t wait for the next instalment :-)

  277. Congratulations on the publishing contract. I’ve heard they’re tough to come by. My all-time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. I’ve read that paperback so many times that the cover is falling apart. I suppose some of my true favorites, however, have to be the books I’ve had the pleasure of sharing with my son: Green Eggs & Ham, The Boxcar Children, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and Superfudge. Some of my favorite “sweets” involve reading those books to him (and my little brother if I’m being honest).

  278. Congrats Colleen…so amazing you are!!!
Right now I am reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn…so good. I’m almost done so don’t know the ending yet.

  279. So, my hairdresser recommended your book. Read it in less that 24 hours! Could not put it down!!! Congratulations on your first book and I just bough the sequel and can’t wait to get started. I have read so many books I have enjoyed. Some of my favorites are Sarah’s Key, The Language of Flowers and The Help. I have read many books by Ken Follet who is an amazing storyteller. Keep the books coming!

  280. Congrats, Colleen!! That’s so amazing! I have so many favorite books, but my favorite book of all time is Gone with the Wind. I haven’t read it in some time, though, as my TBR pile is huge…but I think it’s time for a re-read! Congrats again!

  281. Congrats!! I’m sure this is just the beginning of MANY great things to come for you. I know that I personally cannot wait to see more from you. This serious is the best I’ve read in a really long time! I’m not sure that I have a favorite book, I seem to fall in love with so many. I will say that this serious is at the top of the list for sure! Best of luck in all of your new adventures!!

  282. Thanks for your books-kept me reading, finished point of retreat in a day and a butterflying half!!! fifty shades series have been my favorite so far. Loved loved loved the way you write your books Colleen, keep em coming!!

  283. Colleen!! I absolutely, completely and totally LOVED Slammed! Every single word in it. It genuinely spoke to me in so many ways… I read it in two days and only mostly because, well I have to work, but for two nights I was greedily reading page after page and fell in love with Will and Lake’s love and life story! Thank you for writing it! A definite favorite of mine from this day forth!

Now in hopes of getting a signed copy, one of my other favorites(and yes it may be a tad cliche but I can’t help it, I’m a hopless romantic) Nicholas Spark’s “The Lucky one”.

    Happy Friday!

  284. Congrats Colleen! I am so excited for you! I’ve just started reading again this past May…starting with everyone’s hype of Fifty Shades. It wasn’t whether I liked the story or not, but I realized reading was fun again! I decided on getting some ebooks through Amazon, and let’s just say that that opened up a whole can of worms. I saw some amazing reviews on your books and bought them, the firsts of many ebooks! – Worth every single penny! I couldn’t put them down! I’ve never really read many YA novels or the like. I’ve since plowed through at least another 10 books easily, but I have to say yours is my favorite story! I loved every character too! I’ve just finished Reason to Breathe & Barely Breathing by Rebecca Donovan, they follow your books as being my faves this summer! Good Luck with your work! I truely enjoy it and I’ve been butterflying telling everyone about Slammed!

  285. Congrats you cute lady! This is well deserved! So happy for you!

There really are so many more, but that was a few of my favs! Enjoy your vacay and congrats again! You deserve this, sweetie! <3

P.S. I don't care what everyone says about Fifty Shades of Grey, it's icky/psycho! I couldn't make it even halfway through the first book (and returned it the next day) when I found out what it was ::really:: about. It was not fun and frankly… it was way creepy with flat characters and no real plot. Lame. Waste. Of. Time.

  286. P.S. The Slammed series would ROCK as movies… just sayin’…

I really hope that comes to pass…

  287. Love, love your books!!! Got my hubby hooked on them too. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. You’ve given us something else to talk, laugh and reminisce about… Priceless.

  288. Congratulations! It was bound to happen! :)
And my all time favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Not a “beach read”, but I used to reread it every summer.
    Enjoy your vacation!

  289. I’ve been out town for the last week so I’m playing a little catch up. I’m pretty sure all of my faves have been listed here already, but just wanted to congratulate you in this amazing accomplishment. And thanks to everyone for the new book suggestions :)

  290. Hope you enjoyed your trip. Vacation is always fun until you have to come home and unpack!! Congrats on the great news- an amazing accomplishment!

  291. My favorite series was 50 Shades of Gray before I read your Slammed series!! Both books were so amazing, I just couldn’t put them down. I read both Slammed and Point of Retreat in less than 48 hours – I love them both! I also absolutely love how you incorporate things from the series in your blog, too. Please, please, please add more books to the series!

  292. Oops, I meant 50 Shades of Grey. Also, one more thing that I love about the Slammed series. . . It introduced me to The Avett Brothers. I love music. I love new music. I love people who introduce me to new music. And I love this band! THANK YOU!!

  293. I’ve been telling all my friends they HAVE to read your books… they are great!! Definitely in my top favorites!

  294. I love the series! So good. Congrats to you. Downloaded the books after i saw the shout out to the avett brothers. Figured they had to be good. A few fav books of mine are The green mile, Love story, Charlottes Web , and of coure Slammed and Point of retreat.

  295. To Build a Ship by Don “Dingle” Berry

In To Build a Ship, Don Berry explores the extent to which a man can betray himself and his morality for a dream or an obsession. It’s the story of a handful of settlers who take up land in the fertile Tillamook Bay Valley in the early 1850s-defiant dreamers battling the wilderness. With impenetrable mountains at their backs and the open sea as their sole road to trade, they are suddenly isolated from the outside world when the only captain willing to enter their harbor dies. With the survival of their new settlement threatened, they decide to build their own schooner.

At first the challenge brings out the best in the men, but soon the tensions inherent in this monumental task engulf them. Obstacles accumulate and complications mount: a death, a murder trial, trouble with restive Indians, and finally a travesty of justice. Excitement, shock, and gripping drama mark this story of men pushed to the point of madness as they see the Morning Star of Tillamook slowly take shape on the wild Pacific shore.

  296. Congratulations colleen, you deserve it…
I have lot of favorite books including Slammed but, my favorite book for lifetime is The Lord of The Rings trilogy. It was great book and when I read it, I literally can travel Middle Earth because Tolkien wrote it beautifully and love love love the way he describe everything in the book. To me, The Lord of The Rings Trilogy wasn’t just my childhood book. It’s my escape, my travel and my adventure book. I can read it over and over, no matter how old I am. That’s why I pick it up as my lifetime book.

  297. Thank you for a tender heartfelt mesmerizing read!!!
Read “room” better yet listen to it on audio told by a five year old…stunning. author is Emma donoghue

  298. Congratulations on your success, you deserve it! I just completed reading Slammed and Point of Retreat, I have read many books in my 47 years but I have to say your writing is my favorite by far! I went from crying to laughing constantly in both these books. I’ll be looking for more of your books on Amazon. Cheers!!

  299. Well CONGRATULATIONS!!! You deg got me hooked with Slammed, I read Slammed and Point of Retreat within a week and a half lol so I cannot wait for Will’s POV. My favorite books this summer have been (besides the Slammed series lol) beautiful disaster, bared to you, 50 shades of course lol and now searching for my next obsession!!! Can’t wait to download your next books!!!

  300. Just finished Slammed and Point of No Retreat and LOVED them both! Congrats on your book deal… you definitely deserve it! Enjoy every second of it. Also, I wanted to say that I like the message/s that come across in your books too… its something that alot of authors have stopped incorporating. My favorite book of all time? Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier — its timeless, read it for the first time in 7th grade and go back every couple of years. Congrats, again! g
PS> I can see Slammed as a movie… that would be a lifetime sweet, too!!!

  301. Congratulations on your success with the Slammed Series, they’re wonderful!!! For fun, sarcasm, I love Jenninfer Weiner, especially Good in Bed. Another, Such A Pretty Face by Cathy Lamb. For fantasy, excitement I loved the Harry Potter series, such as descriptive and imaginary writing. For excitement and suspense I loved the Hunger Games Series. Not much of a thriller reader anymore, but when I was younger I loved reading Virginia Andrews books, such as Flowers in the Attic. Once again, congrats!!!!

  302. Thanks for recommending some books. I have read the ones that you recommended and they are great! I love the Perfect Chemistry series by Simone Elkeles. A great YA Romance series. I also just read Chasing Nikki by Lacey Weatherford and was sobbing at the end so if you like that it’s a GREAT story.

  303. Am I too late for the contest?! I just finished Slammed and Point of Retreat and fell in LOVE! Your books are so well written and the characters became like family.. I have just recently started reading a lot of books by authors who are self published and I find your books to be two of my favorite. I also have read the Thoughtless series by SC Stephens and have been trying to talk myself out of reading them again! Thank you so much for all your great work. I can’t wait to read more!

  304. OK, I’m so not into favorites because if you ask me tomorrow, I will have a different answer. So, I go by where I am now. Last week I read two new books I loved. One I hated. I won’t say the one I hated bc I’m not into hating on people. The books I loved were the Maze RUnner and Restricted Waters. Real different, but good.

  305. Currently, Point of Retreat is my favorite! Absolutely amazing.

Other favorite books? I was greatly impacted by the book “Three Cups of Tea.” I wholeheartedly recommend it!

  306. Please tell me that there is going to be a third book!!!!! You just ended point of retreat…. which was not nice! Lol

  307. I just started, “Insignificant Moments” by Jeremy Asher. I’ve only read about 25% of it but I’ve already cried my eyes out.

  308. Colleen, congratulations on your sweet! I would LOVE a signed book. My most recent sweet is definitely reading SLAMMED. My most recent suck is knowing that I’ll never fall in love with Will.

Slammed cuts through me right to my soul. It’s invigorating! It’s the perfect escape when life gets ALL UP in my damn way. (I should be able to italicize in a reply.) Anyway Colleen, you’ve inspired me to become a slam poet. I’m going to my first slam on Wednesday in Boston. I’m just going to observe for now but I’ve already started writing my own slams.

Your awesome. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading.

    Peace, love, slam

  309. Butterflying love both books will you do a third? I just came across Slammed on my kindle and so happy I bought it. I immediately got Point Of Retreat and just finished it when will Will’s story be out.?

  310. Loved both books and can’t wait to be able to buy hard copies for my friends. Thank you for introducing me to the Avett Bros. After listening to them I was floored that they weren’t already in my music collection because they fit in like a Pandora playlist. I’ve also been quoting Julia’s advice on how you know he’s the “one”. I so wish my mother had given me that wisdom years ago. Thank you for such enjoyable reading!

  311. CONGRATS!!! My favorite book of all time is probably To Kill a Mockingbird, but among the books that’ve been published during the recent decade or two my favorites are Harry Potter, Sweet Evil (by Wendy Higgins), Vampire Academy series, the Lux series (by Jennifer L. Armentrout), Thoughless series (by S. C. Stephens), TMI and TID series (by Cassandra Clare) and of course Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Aside from your books. Oh, man! This news is big! So happy for you :)

  312. I LOVE your books!! How exciting!! My all-time favorite (for this week) book is a toss up… It’s between Poughkeepsie by Debrah Anastasia and Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. I read so much that it changes all the time :)

  313. Congrats!!!!!!!!!! This is really butterflying bemazing :P

I know I’m late and all, but since the winners haven’t been posted and I was traveling and I have been drooling over all the giveaways, I decided to enter.

Favorite book of all time is… impossible. There’s no such thing.

But a few of my current favorites are:
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
    Anything by Jane Austen
    The Shinning (creepy but amazing)
The Wicked Series by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguié
    The Sight by David Clement-Davies
‘Scuse Me While I Kill This Guy by Leslie Langtry
    Anything by Tamara Webber
    Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
And of course, Slammed and Point of Retreat

And again, congratulations! You deserve it. Your books are amazing.

  314. I’m so excited about everyone signing with S&S!!! Holy cow! Congrats, Colleen! :D My favorite books lately are: The Opportunist and the Neighbor From Hell Series: #1-Playing For Keeps and #2-Perfection. The Neighbor From Hell series is HYSTERICAL and steamy!!

  315. Congratulations! I’m so happy the books are getting the recognition they deserve. Slammed really moved me deeply. I have both books on my kindle, but they were good enough that they are on my list to buy for my shelves. Thank you for sharing your creative soul with the world. :-D

Since twilight and well there was 50 shades… I enjoyed them so much I shared them with my 16 year old daughter who is also a fan! We can’t wait to read more. Thank you for giving us something other than twilight to share and be excited for!
